The morning brought along an array of speaker with Nat Torkington giving a presentation about Web 2.0.

Basic Idea : Go out there and innovate. Create.

This presentation was followed by a short interview with 2 members of The Digital Movement - the group that made Nexus 2007 happen.

Moving on we had a panel of 4 speakers from China, India and Singapore to talk about the challenges and opportunities available today.

Basic Lesson : Solve real business problems. Web applications and concepts are tools.

Tea Break!!

- I spent most of the tea break registering(dropping my namecard into the 'fishbowl')

- Finally met Nay Min Thu and hopefuly we'll be able to come to some form of collaboration between our companies.

Track 2 : Mobile Web Explosion

Here we have 3 speakers

  • - Walter Lee, VP, Consulting, SMB/Partnering Research, IDC APAC
Darius said Walter is one of the most insightful person he knows in the space, and Su Yuen agrees. Heading Consulting and Partnering Research for IDC in APAC, Walter has core expertise in many areas including Mobile convergence, Telecommunications, e-Business and Consumer Marketing, providing you with a holistic outlook of the mobile landscape!

  • - Chris Sorensen, Lead Product Manager, Microsoft Asia Pacific & Japan

  • - R. Chandrasekar, CEO, Velvet Puffin

  • Moderator: Darius Cheung, Founder, CEO of Tencube

They're talking largely about the convergence of services and applications into a single device. These devices and applications are getting smaller yet the list of applications that run off these devices are increasing repidly. How this pans out is really interesting because there are so many applicatoin converging.

-Some afterthoughts that I have is to look at simple applications like twitter which have become used in a variety of ways. Simple concept. Modified. Extensive use.

-Some issues that are raised pertain to bandwidth(which is a problem faced across the entire digital communications scene)

 - How do you charge consumers? They want it free yet the costs incurred by the providers may be too high.

- They mentioned "Web 3.0" again. I laugh.

No. 1 :
FIRST TIME BE HERE.

REALLY AMAZING!!!
